Baking Soda + Salt Bath Benefits

Traveling can be exhausting, especially air travel.  After a flight, two great ways to relax, recover and support your body are to dry brush and take an Epsom salt bath.

Dry brushing stimulates the lymphatic system which aids in detoxification, and an Epsom salt bath (especially when mixed when baking soda) aids in muscle aches, inflammation, and radiation detoxification.

This salt and soda soak is a radiation-neutralizing bath designed to help you detox and to clear your system of ionizing radiation, a particularly invasive environmental factor that can devastate your immune system. A salt and soda soak is an ideal way to detox after taking a long airplane trip.  Baking Soda and Epsom Salt baths also improves your circulatory health and reduce blood pressure.

Also, one of the best-known ways to detox heavy metals from the body is through the skin, submerged in a salt bath. The sulphates in Epsom salt help flush out toxins and heavy metals. The process is called reverse osmosis, and it literally pulls toxins out of your body.

Always drink plenty of water before taking a baking soda + salt bath. Creating a relaxing vibe with candles, soft lights, and soothing music to help you relax while you bathe. And leave your phone out of the bathroom! For the bath:

  •  Add between 5 tablespoons to 2 cups of baking soda to the bath and 1-2 cups of Epsom Salt. The amount depends on the condition you wish to treat.

  •  Swish it around to make sure it dissolves well.

  •  Soak in the bathtub for 10 to 40 minutes.

I also recommended that you shower with fresh cold water after your bath. Going from Hot to Cold will improve your circulation and it can help filter out toxins in the body because it stimulates constriction and subsequent relaxation of the blood vessels.
