How to Listen to God's Voice
Today, listen to Gods voice directly and not rely solely on what someone else has to say. I love to read good books, I enjoy attending events and hearing people talk about their experiences. But it’s not enough to know what someone else is learning. Even though it’s encouraging, we also need to be learning and growing too and that happens directly and personally. God talks to each of us, in His own way, through reading, through meditation, through quiet time, through godly friends.
It takes deliberate and continuous effort to carve out time in our overloaded schedules. Yes, I encourage you to connect with other godly friends, have girl time & deep conversations, connect with healers & counselors but also remember those one-on-one conversations.
Give yourself just 10 minutes today for mindfulness. Simply practice bringing attention to your breath.
Get comfortable and prepare to sit still for a few minutes.
Focus on your breath. Try to keep your attention on your inhale and exhale.
Follow your breath for ten minutes. Take a deep inhale, expanding your belly, and then exhale slowly, elongating the out-breath as your belly contracts.
