The Truth Seeker in each of us

There’s never been a more important season to look after our mental health and personal peace than right now.

The last 18 months have taken a major toll, but people’s states of mind are worsening and we all get to take personal responsibility for what we allow in, what we put out and what boundaries we place to ensure our own peace.

From personal experience, I’ve allowed myself to go down rabbit holes and for someone who is mentally strong, it can still have its toll on me.

There is deep division where everyone has an opinion and everyone wants to be heard. I’ve shifted and placed boundaries around what I’m willing to look it, listen to, watch, what conversations I’ll participate in.

The Truth Seeker in many of us want to understand what is happening, why it’s happening, what is next and when will life be a new normal. All of these things are not only beyond our control and comprehension, but at what cost are you going to spend time down these rabbit holes ?

We have yet to see the impact of the collective’s mental health. I believe this is what is important to promote, practice and advocate the most.

This may result in deleting some APPs, not watching certain videos, not reading certain memes and instead, focus on what you can control.  What I can control is how I love and spend time with my family, nourish and move my body, care for my and my family’s immune system, maintain my spiritual practice, build my business and use my skills to benefit others.

So I implore you, take some time and consume and spread less of the fear based, false news, opinions, fear based thinking and misinformation and tune into your own wisdom, making inner peace and love your primary focus as a way to survive and stay afloat during a time people are losing themselves.

The more of us that focus on mental well being, the better we will all be as a collective society. We all need each other now more than ever. Each of our energy contributions either gets us closer or takes us further from healing.

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
